We, the below signed citizens of Fluvanna, represent taxpayers, voters and/or parents. We all value education and believe smaller elementary schools are invaluable to a child’s education, self esteem, and motivation. We are asking the Board of Supervisors to do the right thing and help our county continue to have a thriving education system. We ask that you add $750,000 to the schools’ budget to be used to keep Columbia & Cunningham Elementary Schools open. This will insure smaller class sizes, will secure 20+ jobs, and will prevent Fluvanna from needing to add back learning cottages in 3-5 years and/or needing yet another new school. We ask that you look to the Future of our county.
