Ask City Council how $10 million in sewer rate increase will be spent

The City of Pacifica proposed a sewage rate increase on all Pacificans, to be approved by a simple vote of the City Council on May 9th. 

This sewage rate increase includes $10 million towards a sea wall project (BBIRP) with no information about how this is going to be spent inside that project. The BBIRP sea wall project final design has not been approved by the City Council or the Coastal Commission. 

It is the duty of Pacifica’s City Council to speak on behalf of Pacificans and ask why $10 million for the BBIRP sea wall project is in a sewage fee increase. 

We urge the Pacifica City Council to request more information and vote to remove this undefined expenditure, before taking Pacificans' money and locking our City into a contract for more and more debt.
