Floridians: Tell the U.S. Senate to Release the Torture Report
This petition had 3,650 supporters
The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is completing a three-year review of CIA interrogation and detention procedures in the years after 9/11 – and will vote soon on whether to declassify it.
If we are to learn from — and continue to reject — the policies that damaged America's moral standing, put our troops at risk and undermined our national security, the SSCI report must be made public.
It is common knowledge that after 9/11, the U.S. government turned its back on American ideals and headed over to the "dark side." Some believe that the facts about this recent, shameful history should remain classified. But there is no good reason to keep Americans in the dark.
We need to examine the CIA's past conduct, and we can't do so if the SSCI report is locked away.
Sign the petition below to tell the Members of the SSCI to release the torture report.
