People all around Florida struggle with this test. You have to get a 98% out of 100% to pass. This is an alternative math test to the Algebra ECO that is needed to pass for high school graduation. If people can not pass the EOC at a 60% correctnessc rate, then why make it harder go pass at a 98% correctness rate?  We pass all the tests needed but if we dont pass this one test it's all for nothing and it can seem hopeless to many people and make them want to drop out in extream cases. Because we cant pass this one test does not mean we are not smart, I have got an 80% on the PERT and have had to walk away as a failure. Many people I know who also struggle have gotten over 90%, just not over 98% and they had to walk away failures as well. We are smart, but the state has too high of standards. If we can take even 10 points off the score, it will give so many people hope, it will help the education process and ones own self esteem.
