Recently Florida state passed the "Don't Say Gay" Bill and it's close to becoming law. If this were to happen schools would no longer be able to discuss LGBTQIA+ Topics without risking being sued by parents. This would also mean that teachers would be allowed to call parents home and our students to come out before they are ready. This could make LGBTQ+ kids feel inferior or ignored by society. This could also put kids in dangerous situations at home if the parents are abusive/homophobic. It could also make students feel uncomfortable in School and feel as though it is not a safe place.
