Give maximum sentencing for those who brutally torture animals!

Pictures say more than 1000 words:

This is Yurianne "Elvin" Hervis Gonzalez who was booked into jail late Tuesday, August 5, 2014 on 30 counts of animal cruelty and 1 charge of grand theft when he was caught with a stolen truck to flee to Texas. He is also allegedly charged for domestic abuse.  Gonzalez, 33, is the one that killed the most, made his first appearance in court Wednesday, August 6, 2014, where he was ordered bail at $80,000.

The trio, YURIANNE HERVIS "ELVIN" GONZALEZ, YOINSLEY "PIPE" GARCIA, and RAUL "FREAKY" FERNANDEZ, were tracked down as part of Operation Noche Buena, a five month-long undercover investigation in which Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) investigators collected evidence on the illegal slaughter farm which killed animals, chickens- goats, pigs, horses, in the most horrific ways, such as: skinning, butchering, stabbing, hammering, shooting, and boiling animals alive.

At an illegal slaughterhouse in West Miami-Dade, pigs, goats, hogs, and chickens were shot, stabbed, beaten with sledgehammers and gutted and boiled while alive, authorities said Wednesday. Authorities in recent years have busted offenders for illegally butchering and selling horse meat, pigs and chickens. Horses legs would be cut off while alive and then slaughtered to sell the meat in the black market.  Raul "Freaky" Fernandez, the alleged operator of the slaughter on the 17700 Northwest 137th Avenue, was jailed on Wednesday afternoon. He is currently on probation on a conviction for marijuana trafficking.

It’s monstrous. These operators are savages with no sense of humanity,” said Couto.

The arrest warrant spilled over with grisly details: “On video surveillance, pigs can be seen being dragged, hook-mouthed through the jaw, at distances of approximately 150 feet, all while the animals remain alive.”

In one example, an undercover operative agreed to buy a boar, which was then shot with a “small-caliber” rifle. The animal did not die, but instead thrashed and kicked for three minutes as it was dragged over 150 feet, the warrant said. In another example, a pig – after being hammered and stabbed – was thrown into a vat of boiling water while still showing signs of life, the warrant said. An employee used a shovel to hold the pig under water, police said.  They were skinning, butchering, stabbing, hammering, shooting, and boiling animals alive.

Richard Couto said the slaughter of the animals was so violent and inhumane that four of his undercover operators quit after the probe.

Florida Animal Abuse Statutes

Letter to
Florida State House
Florida State Senate
Dear Court System,
All these signatures agree that our society cannot continue to look the other way when animals are being killed and tortured. This evil is inside the person and the horror can be easily transferred to any human being, especially the most vulnerable. Animal abuse laws need to be strict and send a message that it will not be tolerated. Those who abuse animals will not have any problems abusing children, the elderly, women and those that are vulnerable. The laws need to be strict and these people are a menace to society. They cannot be given second chances unless they serve time in jail....and maximum sentencing at that. These monsters need to be stopped immediately because they are a threat to society and it is a priority. The laws need to be upheld, strict and enforced NOW!
