On behalf of the students currently attending the Organic Chemistry Lab course under professor Milagros Delgado and teaching assistant Lorilee Valientes, we believe that the current course-work, grading efforts, and the contemporary pandemic has created an environment that is seemingly inefficient and unproductive. The respect that we hold to the integrity of our assignments will always be true no matter the decision of the instructors but this situation can no longer be overlooked. We wish to create an environment where we as students can prosper and learn at the highest possible level with respect to the course. However, to achieve this for both sides in the most desirable and favorable manner, we the students wish to reach an agreement with our instructors in deciding how we can adjust the current course work into a manageable learning process and improving the overall satisfaction of the student population. The current learning approach, with all due respect, is simply a disservice to our education and the lack of hands-on experiences attributes greatly to this disadvantage. We humbly ask that you consider our petition so that we may improve the charisma of our students in learning the applications of Organic Chemistry, thank you.
