The recent spike in COVID-19 is absolutely ridiculous. The Governor of Florida is denying shut down of local schools and lockdown of the state, despite 28,000+ cases being confirmed as of yesterday (8/9/2021.) I'm 18 years old and finishing off the last 5 months of my High School year, and I have bad health conditions. I am fully vaccinated and STILL caught COVID-19. I don't feel safe walking into a classroom full of 30-32 students everyday, knowing they aren't masked or vaccinated. Yes, it's a choice, but it's a pretty dumb choice. If you don't want to be vaccinated? That's fine. Wear a mask for other's safety, we have health issues too.

With that being said, I'd feel safer if we mandated masks / vaccines, or one of the two. Or, better yet, Lockdown the state and go back to online schooling and face to face being optional. The Florida Governor is being careless about his actions for the health of the people in his state because he wants to stick to some one ended promise of " Florida wont lock down again. " What is this? Are we gonna be immediately immune because of your petty promise? We're begging you, lockdown the state and think about your people and the tourists. Florida is literally in the red, It's starting to become a problem.
