Florida residents are facing now a big problem with getting an apartment for rent. During the past 6 months, the prices for rent have been increasing significantly  and the market itself doesn't have enough availability for rents. Right now Floridians are facing too many out of state visitors renting and buying properties without even looking at them, bidding on the current prices which results in the growing price increase for Floridians. the majority of the condominiums are full to their capacity and price gauge are reaching prices never ever seen for 600 SQF units. At the same time the salary has not been increasing which puts local residents into a tough financial situation. Condominiums are giving tenants letters with the price increases for several hundred dollars, people are being forced to leave their apartments and struggling to find anything cheaper. 

We need control over this situation and the price increase has to stop. Florida has becoming the state where tourist and visitors are taking priority of the quality of life and the residents have to struggle with the consequences of that. As per the realtors this situation is absolutely uncommon and nobody has ever seen such a high demand for the local apartments. Covid-19 pandemic allowed people to work remotely and the situation in Florida is getting out of control.
