Starting at third grade here in the state of Florida children are forced into taking a state test. I do not agree that children as young as 8 should be forced into taking such a high stressed test to determine if they are eligible for the next grade . 8th graders are capable to handle stress better. If you want to keep the state test give it to 8th graders to see if they are going to be able to comprehend what's to come for high school without being lost. Banish this test for the little ones!!! Its disgusting to force an 8 year old into a test Knowing if they fail they will not be able to go to the next grade. Let their actual grades for the entire year determine that !!!! They are under enough stress and pressure! Too many kids are getting anxiety younger and younger and this Is part of the problem !!!!
