Many bus stops in Florida are not safe. They only include a bench and the bus stop sign. What will happen if a car loses control and hits the people at the bus stop? Recently, I lost a family member do to this cause. Two cars crashed and headed in the bus stops direction. Two people died, my family member and someone else at the bus stop. If there was more protection such as a booth or gate my family member wouldn’t have died instantly. They could’ve been hurt and could be taken to the hospital. Even in places that this rarely happens they still need more protection. It is better to be safe then sorry. Florida Government should pay attention to these small things. The reason is because these small things could make a big difference. Join me and others in this fight for better protection for bus stops. Don’t do it for you and your family, but also for others.
