Black people have been at the fore front of various magnificent occurrences in history. From Harriet Tubman (and the Underground railroad), George Washington Carver (The African American agricultural scientist invented more than 300 products from the peanutplant, to Viven Thomas ( Pioneer of cardiac surgery, to name a few.

You may ask, why is it pertinent for young children to learn of the valuable efforts and accomplishments of those who came before them, who look like them? My answer is, why not! Why not give hope to a young child who might take this knowledge and run with it and become the next great person of history!

I don't want to just teach young black children but I want the word to spread, so all young children can take the seed of information and plant it everywhere he or she touches! Let's empower our youth by offering them knowledge!!!
