Expediting the process to fix/maintain the Recreational Fields

I have been working with Florida Atlantic University's Jupiter Campus Recreation here on the MacArthur Campus for three years. The sole duty as a department of the university is to provide services to the general student body, and to reflect their voices in terms of what they what to see implemented in our events, athletics, and facilities. Over my period of time here, I have been witness to how the systematic procedures to get things done has failed over and over again, which leaves our beautiful campus neglected and without aid. Take for example, the condition of our recreational fields. For the past years, the student body has been screaming to better the condition of our fields, but unfortunately the university has only been able come up with poor temporary solutions, which in fact, did not make the situation better. There are multiple dips and holes in the fields, resembling the trench warfare during World War II in the Western Front. Currently, it seems as if the university has decided to leave the fields untouched, with weeds growing every where, patches of dead grass that are spreading like some sort of disease, and grass that has grown past the ankles. These conditions are downright unacceptable. This is an absolute disservice to our wonderful students here at the Honors College. What if the President of FAU came to visit our campus and saw the condition of our fields? This maltreatment of our fields is lazy, irresponsible, and dangerous. Students are getting hurt left and right, and more will be if nothing is done about this. I am sick and tired of our campus not getting the attention it deserves, we are simply just left on the back-burner. For the safety of the students and the reputation of this campus, these fields need to be mowed and fixed. I, along with the faculty and students among this campus, will not stand here quiet any longer. We will push harder and harder until this problem becomes solved.
