Because Ft. Lauderdale campus is being shut down, many students who have already made the commitment to finish their degree at FAU have no other choice than to make extremely difficult commutes to the new campus location, especially students who take mass transit. Students had no way of predicting this unforeseen extra cost of money and time when they were planning on applying to this school, and the school should step forward to take responsibility for this radical change they've brought upon the lives of their students.
If FIU does it for their north and south campuses, why can't FAU if their tuition cost is on par with FIU's?
I am asking that you please begin considering the creation of a shuttle service route between Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton campus for students commuting between the two areas. FIU provides such a shuttle service and their tuition is on par with FAU's, so we know it can be done.
