Make FSD1 graduation a non-ticketed event
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!
Hi, my name is Emilee Cox and I am currently a Senior at West Florence High School. Until this year, Florence School District One has allowed students to invite as many guests as they please to their own graduation. This year, each student only gets a certain number of guests. If FSD1 was going to make this rule, they should have made it before the school year and before graduation invitation order forms were sent out to all seniors. Now some of us have dropped 200+ dollars on packages for invitations for 50+ people when we can now only allow 10 to come. It is saddening to know that a lot the people who have watched me grow up, and who have made me into the person I am today will not get to watch me walk across the stage and complete one of the biggest milestones of my life. Apparently, this rule was made because parking and traffic were an issue. Neither of these reasons seem to be a problem when concerts, the race, or other big events come to town. But, when it comes to a day that means everything to high school seniors, it becomes a problem and they can't even have their whole family there to support them. Because of all of this, I am hoping all of you will sign this petition and help me and so many other seniors get to experience the day they've been looking forward to for so long with their family by their side. Thank you!
