To bring hockey back to Florence would mean so much to the community. To bring a Professional sports team in to root for and call their own. Everyone knows when the Pee Dee Pride came the success they had! First 4 season averaging almost 5,000 per game with several sell-outs against those pesky Stingrays. We need to have that excitement back here in Florence!

It gives kids and parents something to do on the weekends. Also, with ice down it will help to generate youth hockey and adult hockey, more revenue for the Florence Center to help maybe cut away from the Florence Center tax from taxpayers. We have owners and leagues ready for hockey in Florence.

What would that mean for Florence? This means more revenue for the mall area restaurants and bars on a consistent basis. Having 30 or more guaranteed events creates and supports thousands of jobs right in the heart of Florence and help strengthen local economy. Additionally, having more family-friendly activities in the region attracts new businesses to Florence and the region.
