Why this petition matters
Started by Mike Neal
The North end of Sea Lane in Ferring, at the junction to Goring Way continually floods to a depth of 40cm every time we have heavy rain. This is a massive inconvenience to local people using their cars, including cyclists and pedestrians trying to cross at this junction. Many vehicles are unable to drive through the flood and are having to turn around to find an alternative route. The council occasionally sends a vehicle to pump the water away, but mostly it remains for a week or more. From what I understand from people that have lived here a long time, this has been happening for years. The WSCC are responsible and should redress the problem. The current situation is not acceptable.
