We the students of Flagler College have had a very difficult semester, we have faced a pandemic, violent protests, and an overall lack of communication from Flagler College. This has resulted in many students receiving lacking online education and little communication/help. This has caused our grades to drop. People who had great grades in prior years have dropped to C or below students, students are now looking to drop out, or have not been learning the material as well. Without the implementation of a Pass/Fail option for this semester, the only option we have left is to withdraw, which will greatly hurt students. The option for this last year helped many students. This can be a very important year for some students that can be negatively affected by the abrupt switch to online classes. This can delay graduations, hurt GPA, and hurt scholarships. All of this negatively affects the students of Flagler College and Flagler College as a whole. As students, we ask Flagler College, and the President, Dr. Joseph Joyner, to please help us listen to your students, give us the option to Pass/Fail and not be left to only withdraw during these difficult times.
