The residents of Quail Run are requesting that a significant improvement is made to the intersection of Quail Run Trace/Jenkins Road; which is the entrance to the Quail Run Neighborhood.  The residents of this neighborhood have complained about this intersection numerous times and the end result has been some hot mix added to the sinking section of this intersection.  This is a very short lived and not at all effective solution for the problems this intersection has.  Below is the list of complaints we in this neighborhood have heard both internally and from outside the neighborhood as well. 

1: Vehicle damage 2: towing trailer damage 3: road hazard 4: functional drainage 5: visual appeal 6: buying/ selling issues. 

Below outlines each of these issues in detail. 

1. The dragging of any lower profile car has created vehicle damage numerous times.  
2. Campers/Trailers and Freight Trucks are destroying the road and also being damaged when trying to come into the neighborhood. 
3. The dip in the road holds water and is a significant hazard, especially during the winter months.   
4. The road needs to provide better drainage so that the wash outs and erosion that is actually causing the road to drop stops happening.  
5. The entrance of the neighborhood looks like a patchwork of hot mix that is very unappealing and something the entire neighborhood is frustrated with as we have worked hard to be a neighborhood to be proud of.  
6. We have been told by realtors in the area that the entrance has been a significant factor for prospective homeowners which hurts the ability for anyone in the neighborhood to sell their homes in the future. 

We are asking the County Road department to make this intersection a priority and to do so in a way that address all of these concerns not just a temporary fix as they have done in the past.
