We are a group of NES parents that are very unhappy with the current state of traffic around NES. 

Our main issues:

1. Extreme traffic congestion during drop off and pick up times with lack of traffic organization including issues such as cars entering opposite the traffic direction, entry of cars from the main parking into the tight already very busy small road on front of NES, lack of designated lanes for passing through vs dropping a child.. etc.
2. All of Year 1 to Year 12 finish school at 2.20-2.30pm. This is creating very heavy traffic and the amount of people having to wait outside in the sweltering sun is massive. Parents are having to park as far as Sultan center and walk in 50 degree weather to and from the school. Young children have to walk dangerously amongst many cars in very tight and small roads.
3. Year 3 and above having to sit in the playground in the hot and humid weather in September. It is very uncomfortable for the children. 
4. The doors are not opened at exactly 2.20pm. Please note, elderly people, pregnant women, and people with medical conditions are sometimes waiting in the heat.

We are very frustrated and concerned about next month when government schools also start. 

We propose:

1. Proper traffic organization
2. Having a different home time for Year 1-6 and Year 7 and upwards. For example: 2.00 and 2.30pm, so the traffic can ease off.
3. Opening doors at the exact home time.
4. Having a system where the children do not have to sit in the playground when the weather is hot.
