The storm drain at the southeast corner of W111th Street & Broadway was blocked and covered years ago, which has resulted in hazardous conditions at this location.  Standing water on this corner results in mosquitoes in the summer and treacherous ice in the winter. 

Neighbors have repeatedly informed the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and elected officials about this problem and only very superficial corrective action has been taken.  NYC DEP has repeatedly stated there is no drain at this corner.  This is false, as verified during recent repair work on this corner.

As local residents who frequently cross this intersection, we demand this issue be addressed and the storm drain be fixed.
