I am writing this email as a concerned citizen of Bradford. I feel that the local park in my area situated on Livingston Road in BD2 is simply not up to standard, this is due to the fact many new houses have been built in my area welcoming many new families with children and I feel that it is unacceptable that the only thing available is one swing set and a child's slide. Furthermore, the larger slide that is available is not safe for young children as it has no suitable flooring. Growing up in this same area i have fond memories of walking home from school and enjoying many summers in the same park that had climbing frames and larger slides and i strongly feel that these same recourses should be available for today's youth. This is coming from an older cousin and sibling who takes the younger children to the park only for them to be bored after five minutes wanting go back to watching their screens as the closest park to us other than this one is a park in Wrose that is not within walking distance. All we ask from you is to improve the park by adding a larger safe slide, climbing frame and maybe a see-saw to encourage children to spend time outdoors.
