Why this petition matters

Started by Jack Karvelson

Small town Edson has a normal grave yard but did you know it actually has a historical baby grave site too that is over 100 years old?

Many people of Edson know about this place and visit it often leaving stuffies, toys, etc. the people of edson even come to leave their pets at the Old Edson Cemetary. Yet for some reason it’s not an actual place, you have to search for an opening in the trees you can walk through and then wander through the forest several meters before you see the first grave of at minimum 35, in the winter it’s hard to see all the graves and you risk stepping on them, over the years more and more trees have fallen on and around the graves.

Wouldn’t it benefit the town as a whole if we embraced this historical site instead of leave it to rot and be forgotten? Why has the town of Edson abandoned this historical site, allowing it to decay as well as be destroyed and robbed by delinquents?

This is a sad place to visit but also a crucial part to the town’s history, long lost relatives, beloved pets, memories from the families laying their loved ones to rest, all lie in this forest, the souls here should be celebrated and not abandoned.
