Fitch High School Dress Code Reform

This petition had 157 supporters

As of this past summer, it has been passed through the Fitch High School administration to ban leggings without a shirt covering a girls butt. It will come into effect on August 31st, 2017 (the first day). There are reasons for a dress code, we all understand. However, when it is not allowing a girl to completely cover up her entire lower half, thats when it becomes a problem. By taking a girl out of her learning environment to change because she wore leggings with a shirt that didn't cover her butt (fyi, shirts are made to go to your hips!! almost 90% of the time, if a shirt does that, its too big!!), you aren't creating a better learning environment for the boys, you are depriving a girl from her learning experience. You are going to distract everyone more dress coding a girl who's completely covered up than she is wearing it. This rule is unfair and needs to be adressed and reformed.
