I had been planning a trip to Scotland and Ireland for many years, but now have no wish to invest my travel dollar in visiting a ruined industrial landscape. People don't come to the highlands to see flashing red lights and ugly transmission lines. You are destroying an economic opportunity for the benefit of a few big utility companies. Sorry I will not be visiting anytime soon, if ever.

Turbine development is just the continuation of a very old, very sad story... the short-sighted exploitation of natural resources to create extreme wealth for a few individuals and corporations.

Really nothing new here but the scale of the destruction and the complicity of so-called "environmental" advocates and organizations.

because it is shameful to destroy a peaceful and inspiring landscape and because industrial developments of such proportions can't be imposed when there is a substantial part of the local communities against them

The visual attraction of our wildernes areas will be devastated by the structures. They are not necesarily ugly in themselves but are foriegn to the landscape and destroy the natural and historic aspect of our countryside
