I do not believe that the biggest loser shows a healthy way to lose weight. I also believe the contestants are treated in a demeaning way.

As an eating disorder specialist, I have seen children as young as 8 starving themselves as a direct result of the First Lady's "War" on Obesity. Great idea, but in the schools, something has been terribly lost in translation. Little children driven to exercise, throwing up their food. Punishing exercise and diet competitions (really?) like this frightening reality show...to what end? Please, Mrs. Obama, do not support this show that has only served to help created and support eating disorders.

We love the work you are doing to improve the health of our country, but this is not the way to do it! Please don't go on this show again! By doing so you are openly supporting weight discrimination and unhealthy weight loss!

As a recovered anorexic and binge eater, I strongly support all causes that seek to remove negative body image, fat-shaming and anti-obesity messages in the media and promote positive messages of healthy living for all individuals.

Please, please don't send this message to millions of people. If you appear on "The Biggest Loser" you endorse their insane, extreme measures, and contribute to the disappointment, shame, and humiliation of every overweight person.

The show is truly brutal and exploitive.

While I applaud Mrs. Obama's goal at a healthier US, The Biggest Loser is the worst possible forum for it. People are belittled, degraded, starved, and pushed beyond safe limits to look dramatic for TV. Then they are shipped home, where the gain the weight back plus some, and feel even worse than before. I would think this is not the kind of "Healthy" lifestyle she would push.

The Biggest Loser sends a very negative message about weight loss and body image. It is not a sustainable method for weight loss. Michelle Obama should not dignify this show by appearing as a guest.

As a registered dietitian and weight loss counselor, I see firsthand how the Biggest Loser only encourages mental and physical harm, not health! Please continue to promote sustainable health, not crash diets and shame!

Having battled my weight for most of my life I have been judged by my size every single day...I believe that fat predjudism is the only predjudism that society allows
