First Entrepreneurship Academy in District 102

Totally disturbed by the disproportionate number of black millionaires & the alarming 4% chance of making it out of poverty if you're born into poverty in Charlotte North Carolina. I have decided instead of making excuses for this inequity, we should make a difference. Using the knowledge gained through my entrepreneurship pilot program and countless hours of research, I hope to eventually open the nations first African American Entrepreneurship Academy in Charlotte, District 102. This will be a school who's core values will center on young men obtaining sustainable wealth opportunities for not only themselves but also their families. When you hear about African American communities you only hear about unemployment, poverty, and crime; which often overshadows the more positive trends in the community. We want the entrepreneurial mindset to be the new "sports league or record deal," where everyone wants one. It starts with us!! Individuals make families, families make communities and communities make change for Charlotte and the world.
