Our aim is to make buses free for under 16s and drastically reduce them for adults. We believe that at the moment the prices in and around Bristol are extortionately expensive. For example, we discovered that to pay for two children to travel to school and back it would cost 5% of the average salary in Bristol. This leads to social injustice and class division, as less wealthy people cannot afford to travel by bus. Also, buses are much more environmentally friendly, and reduced fares would encourage everyone to use them more. This will help reduce Bristol's carbon footprint, reducing our contributions to climate change.
