Ovechkin is a founder of Team Putin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PutinTeam and an ardent supporter of Russian dictator. He failed to show sympathy to Ukrainian people struggling against the worst war in Europe since 1945. 

He supports Russian Dictator to this day and he should not be enjoying the support of civilized crowds. If he believes Putin is such a great guy, he should put his money where his mouth is, sell his Virginia mansion, sell all of his Dollars for Rubles and enjoy warm days in Moscow.
