NZ needs new fire aerials (smaller fire trucks) in order for us to calm down the big fires in quicker and more efficient ways. Signing this petition will show the government about how necessary the new aerials are in this moment. This needs to have awareness spread and a great example can be the Penrose fire that happened a week ago, all the roads were blocked due to the big fat fire trucks which also means that the fire is still burning and the toxic air is spreading all around the suburbs, we can see how this had a big impact because about 3 suburbs had warnings sent out to them to close their doors and windows and stay home. The new aerials are beneficial in several ways, the fire fighters can drive at the destination faster and wouldn't jam the roads early in the morning, the smaller trucks can fit smaller roads, hence, don't need to block off all the main roads which is very essential due to the school students and officers who need to go to their work place in a specific time.
