Temperatures in the UK are set to rise to above 30c in the next few days. The government have issued its first EVER RED EXTREME HEAT WARNING for humans, however people are still failing to understand the risks this poses to their animals.

Police should issue fines to those out walking dogs during the hottest parts of the day. If a dog’s temperature exceeds 39.4c your dog is at risk or heat stroke which is FATAL and can KILL THEM. 

This petition is to ensure dog owners are aware of the risks to their animals when walking during the middle of the day when the weather is at its hottest. Check the pavement, if it’s too hot for your hand, ITS TOO HOT FOR YOUR DOG!!
