The Irish government plan on Commemorating the Black and Tans by putting their names on a wall in Glasnevin Cemetery alongside our fallen Irish Volunteers from 1916. This is a disgraceful and reprehensible act and it is the freestate government's attempt at revisionism and normalisation of British Rule in Ireland.

British police and military in Ireland ruled with terror for centuries, from the RIC with their battering rams evicting families during the Great Hunger, to the Dublin Metropolitan Police attacking and murdering poor workers during the 1913 lock out.

One hundred years ago the war of Independence was raging, as the RIC and Black and Tans pillaged, murdered, raped and burned out communities across the country, in their attempt to enforce the rule of the British Empire.

We the Irish people will never honour or commemorate our oppressors it's time to tell this West Brit Government enough is enough. Please sign our petition.
