Financial Transparency

After Outfly, students received an email saying there will be a 3.8% raise on tuition, room, and board fees. Show us where that money is going, make the budget reports public. Prove Wartburg is worth it. Below is the e-mail students received October 19th from President Colson. Give the Wartburg students access to more specific budget reports.

Currents reports are available on Once logged onto the Info Center (under “Offices”, then “Business Office”, then “Overall Budget & Financial Information” , then “2017-2018 Budget Revenue & Expenses”). This was just recently posted earlier this week, as the Board just approved this budget last Friday. Rich Seggerman is planning on including a note in next Monday’s student issue of the Juice letting students know this information was available (and we will still do that).

But still raising the question(s) students want to know: What is the college earning? Are those budget totals after taxes? How are the professors and staff affected? Where/why are we needing the money for this financial increase?
