As a loyal employee of over six years, I was very hurt and disappointed when I received an email from our CEO outlining the steps you are taking to help employees on the lowest salary’s.

Now I’ve had a few jobs in my time, but the reason I’ve stayed here so long is based on the principles that this company usually stands for.

One of which is the huge focus on employee wellbeing (Spirit Beat, Diversity and Inclusion and LGBTQ+) always listening and adapting to ensure employee happiness is at the forefront,

Therefore, this latest announcement came as a huge shock to me as it goes against everything we stand for as a company. You are discriminating and devaluing the worth of every other employee whose salary is above the threshold outlined in your email and it is completely unacceptable, and to be frank, a complete outrage! 

An individuals salary does not represent their outgoings and what with every single necessity increasing in price, it is impacting every single one of us. Our rent and mortgages are increasing, fuel and food is at an all time high, and the cost of heating our homes is astronomical and extremely worrying as we move into the winter.

This is unjust and unacceptable and therefore, I urge you to listen to the hard working and loyal people and revisit your announcement and come back with a plan that does not discriminate and can help all of us.
