Adam Turner started this petition to Financial Conduct Authority and

Car insurance companies have gone too far in the yearly pricing of insurance and questions they ask.

I believe insurance companies should not be allowed to hold information if someone hits your car and you have nothing to do with the incident, you can’t help other people hitting your car, they should only hold the information on the other person at fault. The Innocent party should NOT be affected and records not need to be kept.

I also believe, that there should be regulations on car insurace quotes.  These quotes can go into the thousands of pounds, even when the cars value is only £200.

Also, when you are are trying to get a quote for CAR insurance, they ask you unnecessary questions about your home, kids and if you are married or single. These questions have no affect on how someone drives. A married person does not mean they are a better driver then that of someone who is not currently in a relationship.

Lastly, changing the quote higher or lower because of someone’s gender is sexist and should not be allowed.
