The   present tax deductions on Mediclaim health Policy is 18% ( CGST @9%  and SGST/UTGST @ 9 %)  on basic premium. Senior citizens have to pay high premium due to age and it is essential  to insured for health .In view of existing Covid -19  it is need of hour to have an mediclaim policy. I request Hon Finance Minister to kindly review the the precentage  tax deductions and lower it at  a reasonable rate . This is basic neccesity in current pandemic situation.
