Presently income tax basic exemption of Rs 3 lacs is available for seniors above 60 years. The next relief is for citizens above 80 years which is Rs 5 lacs.
For all from 60 years to 79 the relief is same. It would be helpful if relief upto Rs 4 lacs is available for citizens over 70 years.
As we age some relief at 70 years is essential. Requesting finance minister to consider this relief
