Restore funding to CNIB

The federal budget released this past week cut $3 million of funding to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) for converting books to accessible formats. CNIB Library services circulate more than 2.1 million copies of Braille and audio books to readers across the country. Diane Bergeron, CNIB’s vice president of engagement and international affairs, arrived at the budget announcement and was not able to read the document handed her; the government didn't even make their own document accessible. Please remind Bill Morneau and Kirsty Duncan of their June 13, 2016 announcement to break down barriers for Canadians with print disabilities, and restore the funding for accessible reading materials.
