In the midst of the epidemic, innocent farmers, residents, students, and activists continue to be killed. These citizens did nothing but fight for what is right. We, the people of our country, vigorously condemn such a cold-blooded act, which exemplifies Duterte's childish treatment of brutal police officers in contrast to his iron fist rule over the rest of the Philippines. Throughout his four-year period, Duterte has made it clear that if his troops commit a crime while on the job, he will defend them. Thousands of incidents of police violence have been recorded, despite the physical constraints imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Fighting against this will prove our action against the oppression they continue to give us because if we don't, what more can our presumed soldiers and protectors do in the dark of the night, without the presence of such means of witness or evidence, except point their weapons at us in broad daylight and take our innocent lives, in front of people and cameras? 

I'd like to invite citizens and the general public to join us in demanding justice and accountability for the millions of innocent lives lost, as well as all the lives owed to Duterte's authoritarian regime; to channel their rage into collective action.
