This is important to me because a drunk driver has taken my son's life at the age 17. My son died in vain because the drunk driver decided to drive drunk even after he had a prior DWI conviction and a warrant for his arrest. I say the law must be changed to ZERO TOLERANCE TO INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER. I want his killer to be put away for life because he took my son's life.  I will never be able to hear his voice, see him father his child, touch and feel him, or give him a kiss and a hug ever again.  His son will never know his dad and his girlfriend will never get to be his wife. With this law a drunk driver will be spared his/her life and still be able to see and hear their family members, but we won't. Stop the injustice of allowing drunk drivers to get back on the road and continue killing innocent people. We can do this by changing the law to ZERO TOLERANCE TO INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER not just here in San Antonio, Texas, but everywhere in the United States. R.I.P My beloved son, Nathan Chavez. I love you so much and I do my best to make this a law.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Nathan Chavez's Justice.

Change the law for intoxication manslaughter

This is important to me because a drunk driver has taken my son's life at the age 17. My son died in vain because he was was walking to a bus stop and just steps from his home a drunk driver decided to drive drunk after having a warrant for his arrest. I say the law must be changed to ZERO TOLERANCE TO INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER and give them a tougher sentence of LIFE in PRISON instead of the slap (10 years probation) in the hand they are getting because it was their first violation. I want my son's killer to be put away for life because he took a precious life and I will never be able to hear my son's voice, see him father his child, or touch and feel him, or even give him a kiss or hug ever again. Nathan's son will never know his dad and his girlfriend, Marissa, will never get to be his wife. I feel that with this law a drunk driver will be spared his/her life and be able to see and hear their family members, but we won't. Please help stop the injustice of allowing drunk drivers to get back on the road and continue killing innocent people. We can do this by changing the law to ZERO TOLERANCE TO INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER with a sentence of LIFE IN PRISON not just here in San Antonio, Texas, but everywhere in the United States. Drunk drivers must suffer the consequences like we must suffer the lost of our loved ones due to their irresponsibility and negligence of driving drunk. How many more people have to die before we can begin to see a change. R.I.P My beloved son, Nathan Chavez. I love you so much and I will do my best to change and make this a law.
