H&M is known for its cheap, trendy clothes and overall fast fashion mentality. The fast fashion industry is harmful to the garment workers that make these clothes in foreign countries because they are underpaid, forced to work excessively long hours, and abused.

In India, about 99.2% of garment workers are subject to forced labor under Indian law, and in most cases, workers receive only a tenth of the minimum wage. H&M lists 235 Indian garment factories among its suppliers. In other Asian garment factories that supply H&M and other companies, more than 540 female workers have described been sexually assaulted and abused over the course of five months.

Sign this petition to H&M to advocate for better labor laws and more transparency surrounding their production process so that workers are better protected. H&M is responsible for paying their workers sufficient wages and keeping them safe.
