Man accused in Wedlock death arrested for OWI again http://www.katc.com/story/36043459/man-accused-in-wedlock-death-arrested-for-owi-again

Regarding the perceived CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO ALL ACADIANA / LOUISIANA RESIDENTS, as a result of his newest (August 2, 2017) arrest, 24 year-old Joseph Dakota Richey (resident of Scott, LA) has now been charged with yet another crime *** 3rd Offense OWI*** (LA RS 14:98) WHILE RELEASED ON BOND  for the April 2017 tragic and senseless 'alleged' vehicular homicide of beloved friend/brother/Graduating UL Doctorate Student:  Brad Wedlock:

•WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND:  you fight to PERMANENTLY revoke the initial $89,550 bond set for Joseph Dakota Richey.

•WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND: you fight to indefinitely hold Joseph Dakota Richey **WITHOUT BOND** in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center until trial.

•WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND: this action be taken immediately in the interest of public safety thereto prevent further senseless injury and/or loss of life.

•WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND:  Joseph Dakota Richey be prosecuted to the full extent of the law with absolutely NO 'DEALS' offered in exchange for a plea to lesser charge.  Should a guilty verdict be reached, we demand you fight for no less than the maximum sentence allowed by law.

Our collective opinion is that Joseph Dakota Richey is a CLEAR AND PRESENT THREAT TO OUR SAFETY in addition to being an obvious danger to himself and MENACE TO OUR SOCIETY.

In closing: Joseph Dakota Richey's privilege of bond can never supersede the public's right to safety.

Disclaimer:  ALL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.  The above represents the opinion(s) of petition participants.  You have no obligation to participate in this petition.
