Why this petition matters

Started by Krystle Moncrease

I work in the transportation industry for a short time now going on a year and a half and we have no corporate African Americans at majority of any at a major trucking company. I was at a disadvantage from the start primarily because of the color of my skin. So many African Americans in the United States are still in enslaved by racist people all over the United States. In the transportation business, every company that I have been to has cheated me out of my money and has the authority to do so and it's allowed. I have contacted The EEOC, The U.S department of justice, the U.S. Department of transportation, The U.S. Department of Labor, and the whistle blower and I even email The Vice President of the United States with clear and obvious evidence. They stated that there was nothing they could do, pointing me to one department after another. Most of the time not showing interest nor asking questions during these interviews. A Lot of African Americans are a afraid to stand up to discrimination or a racist individual(s) and I understand this especially after what I had to endure the last 17 months. Every trucking company I worked for discriminated against me and over 50 people that I know of. Stealing money from us and keeping us from advancing and to keep us enslaved. This is I'm sure happening throughout several businesses across the United States. Discrimination is not just wrong because of the color of a person skin but it is also discrimination when a person is bias about anything that's against the law of the United States and the indifference individual laws throughout the states. This Country made laws but pick and chooses which ones to uphold and depending on the persons skin color, sex, age, etc. This is in no way an act of love when you pass judgement on a person's appearance or characteristics. The justice in this is change that needs to take place within ourselves. The reason why so many mental issues across the country is because of this main reason. People are hindered to only so much and yes skin color plays a big part. This is the reason why people are afraid to seek out there endeavors because of what color skin they are or other characteristics. Equality is long overdue in the United States. We have enough that's killing us in this world, so we do not need to continue with the extra hatred and hate groups. Until we stop passing judgement on others and start loving each other, this country will fall. I just pray that those who discriminate will choose the ladder.
