CAF Champions League Final 2019 - Investigation

Dear Mr.President,

I am a Football Fan and I am writing to you regarding a daylight injustice that happened on the CAF Champions League Final. With the implementation of the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) we were hoping that more justice will be brought to the game and the best team will end up winning but unfortunately that is not the case.
During the first leg of the final between WAC (Wydad Athletic Club) and EST (Espérance Sportive de Tunis) refereed by the Egyptian Referee Gehad Grisha, the Referee’s decisions affected the score of the game, after reviewing the VAR the referee refused to validate a clean goal and a clean penalty which every single one who watched the game saw clearly. The CAF (African Football Confederation) then suspended the referee for poor performance which confirms that the referee was bad and affected the score of the game.

During the second leg of the game, match played in Tunis, the CAF decided to rely on the VAR again and assigned international referees to assist the principal referee. At the 58th minute, the principal referee Bakary Gassama refused a clean goal again and noticing that the Goal was 100% clean WAC asked the referee to verify the VAR. The referee stopped the game and asked for VAR but it was broken and the worse is that there was no communication between the principal referee and the Assistant referees responsible of the video assistance which completely goes against the FIFA regulations that all the referees should be there. WAC required that the principal referee reviews the Goal action before resuming the game. The game was stopped for more than an hour but since the VAR was broken for a purpose and could not be brought back by the organizer the game did not have a normal end and the referee ended the game with the score of 1-0 for EST (Espérance Sportive de Tunis) which is a shame for football. I always trusted in the famous fundamental of FIFA “My Game Is Fair Play” until this happened. My game is not fair anymore furthermore, this is pure unfairness and daylight robbery.

As a Football fan, I hope that FIFA opens up an investigation about what happened on the CAF Champions League Final and brings back justice to this game. VAR was supposed to bring justice to our game but unfortunately it is not which is very sad. Everyone saw the injustice and as the organization responsible of Football on this planet we beg you to bring justice back. WAC was refused 2 goals and 2 clear penalties with the presence of VAR during that Final which did not have an end and we are wondering if the referees in collaboration with CAF decide the destiny of a Championship why even play.
