Stop the Cell Tower in Fieldbrook Neighborhood

Plans are underway by AT&T to errect a large high-power 180’ cell phone tower on 51 Foxtail Lane - a tranquil Fieldbrook neighborhood where families have lived for decades. We are petitioning for this tower to be moved to a non-residential area.
We do not at this time know the long-term effects of exposure to this type of technology. Additionally, the environmental impact would go far beyond the falling of trees and includes disruption to animal and bird migration patterns, loss of habitat and creek management.
Apart from, and in addition to the unknown health and environmental concerns, cell towers become eyesores (even when falsely made to look like trees), noise nuisances, decrease property values, and are potential fire hazards. There are ample publications both in research literature and media coverage supporting all of these concerns. We are not overstating these issues!
While we are not opposed to improved telecommunications, there is much less controversial areas for such development. Our local representatives and elected officials have the power to regulate such placement as long as such discrimination is not unreasonable. We can think of NO BENEFIT to our neighborhood or community by putting a cell tower at the proposed site. Yet, there are multiple reasons allowing the tower proposal to move forward is a detriment to all of our residents.
Make your voice heard and tell AT&T to look for a more suitable location for the proposed tower. Not in our neighborhoods!
