We, the undersigned, urge you to shutter immediately the stores you currently operate in Russia.  As you know, Russia has unleashed an unprovoked attack upon Ukraine that has killed hundreds of Ukrainians (as well as thousands of its own soldiers), destroyed historic sites, businesses and homes, threatened its sovereign government and its capitol city, and shattered the well-being of every one of its citizens, causing aftershocks of terror around the world.  

Russia’s capacity to carry on military operations is dependent upon two factors most of all:  an influx of cash and a complacent populous.  Shuttering your stores would simultaneously remove investment in Russia and alert its citizens to the fact that their leaders have perpetrated violence not only upon the undeserving residents of an independent, sovereign nation, but upon their own people as well.  We aim not to penalize the people of Russia for Putin’s brute aggression but rather to support those in Russia, the Ukraine and the larger world in their urgent struggle against this violent attack upon international law.
