FHS has been the pride of Ferndale Our district is sought after to educate young minds BUT that stops at the high school level It is a fact that FHS isn’t somewhere you want your student athlete to be After middle school students leave and take their talents elsewhere The problem starts in the culture of athletics and the coaches who are implementing these practices This needs to be address immediately and swiftly All of the surrounding districts have built a real football program They make it their business to prepare players for success and the next level We do not Our coaches treat the team as a clock in/out low level job The football coaches lack of communication leadership and drive is shocking Every single football parent has expressed confusion and dissatisfaction with the staff We don’t even know most of the coaches names The attitude of the coaches on game days is one of a lazy Sunday morning We need leadership that can put their hearts into building a program that our boys can be proud of While other district coaches are still working with their team on the off season our coaches have disappeared We need a revamp of the entire football coaching staff
