Sign the Petition Against the Petition Against CECA's Proposed Co-op Fee Raise

CECA proposes to raise student co-op fees to $729/term. The proposed fee increase (~2.8%) is very modest and would be used exclusively to increase salaries.
CECA can barely provide their staff a living wage; how do we expect them to provide valuable services on a shoestring budget?

1. There being an ongoing 'deep dive' investigating the urgent need for such an increase. Co-op fees have not even risen $100 since W14 and over 80% of co-op fees already go
towards CECA salaries. Thus any additional funds headed their way would be used on useful services such as resume critiques and mock interviews, instead of going to salaries.
Student representatives requested CECA to postpone any changes to co-op fees until after the deep dive is complete and its findings are discussed. This
delay will hamstring the possibility of creating new services and harm the relationship with employers.

2. Almost none of the 20,000 students who would be petitioned were informed. Trash memes and posters do not an informative or helpful campaign make. Neither FEDS,
nor the Co-op Student Council, nor the general student population were informed about the petition. Student representatives of the Co-op Education Council, which oversees and sets strategy guidelines
for petitions, found out after the release of the petition.

3. Students are immensely dissatisfied by the trash-tier memes used to publicise the petition initially, which were really shit,
as well as the awful chinese and french translations of their posters being offensive to international students.

We, the students, protest the petitioners' decision to advocate against increased co-op fees that would directly help 20,000 students without having consulted any major student
groups nor allowed the general public to contribute their opinions; and

We, the students, protest the petitioners for rushing to not increase our co-op fees prior to the completion of the deep-dive analysis that justifies the need for,
and impact of, such an increase; and

We, the students and potential signatories of the petition expect that following the completion of the deep dive, its findings (including but not limited to the petition's
expenditures, assets, revenues, and remuneration of administrative officials) shall be publicly released. And in the future, transparent petition
information will be made publicly available to the student body on at least an annual basis, preferably a termly basis; and

We, the students, hold the petition against proposed fee increase to be unfair and warranting of further discussion with the general student body; and

As of now, we, the students, stand united in protest against the petition to not increase student co-op fees.

This is the official do not petition CECA petition, not to be confused with the petition CECA petition:
