Marko Kasic started this petition to Feraye Ozfescioglu (CEO World Humanitarian Forum)

Tony Blair has been invited to speak at the World Humanitarian Forum, taking place in London on April 17-18. He will be a keynote speaker, leading a session entitled 'Call To Action' for Humanitarian Aid, where he will be lecturing an audience to help invest and solve the very crisis he directly contributed to creating.

Mr. Blair, who during his time as Prime Minister of the UK, led the illegal invasion of Iraq, catalyzing the refugee crisis that in 2018 was recorded at over 10 million refugees from the middle-east alone. Mr. Blair took the decision to join the illegal invasion of Iraq despite over 36 million people around the world voicing demonstrations in over 3,000 independent peace protests.

His decision, based on false evidence and against the will of the people and government, led to the illegal occupation of Iraq, causing the deaths of over 450,000 civilians in Iraq and directly contributed to the current child refugee crisis. Many believe the decision to invade Iraq in 2003 was the root of the European refugee crises - https://www.aljazeera.com/blogs/middleeast/2015/09/iraq-war-root-europe-refugee-crisis-150908151855527.html

The chain of causation since Iraq has had a direct impact on much of the regions' refugee crisis and the ongoing political turmoil across Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and most recently, Yemen.

This petition calls the CEO of the World Humanitarian Forum, Feraye Ozfescioglu, to rescind the invitation for Mr. Blair so he is not able to profit from the war he was integral to orchestrating.

The thousands of victims from the conflict and the millions of subsequent refugees are not the raw material for Mr. Blair's or any other politicians PR machine.

I started this petition because…
As a former-child refugee, anti-Iraq war protester and current CEO of a humanitarian organization fighting for the basic rights of child refugees, I am appalled that the organizers of an event that is intended to highlight humanitarian suffering would see Tony Blair as a suitable candidate to speak and profit from the misery he directly played a part in creating.
