Make child abuse by battery exempt from the 6 months time limit of first reporting abuse.

Domestic battery, common assault, child battery all come under the same law. And that is, that any altercation MUST be reported within 6 MONTHS of the last beating. This means that any adult who feels they are strong enough to report their DOMESTIC CHILD BATTERY from childhood, NO MATTER how much evidence the police have, the police will not and can not charmge that person if it's more than 6 MONTHS Old, because it's under the same umbrella as common assault. This is treated different from other forms of child abuse like sexual abuse. I personally feel that this law in regards to historic child abuse, domestic child battery, common assault on a child MUST be changed. Those people who are able to have the strength to come forward and report abuse to then find out that nothing can be done is heart breaking and can cause a lot of distress because the abuser gets to walk free, with no charges bought on them. So please sign my petition and help get the law changed so thousands of people like myself can get justice.
